For over 40 years, Marie Woodson has been a tireless advocate for seeking opportunities and resources for our communities. As a dedicated public administrator in Miami-Dade County, she promoted transparency and equality in every interaction. Later, as the first Haitian American State Representative to be elected in Broward County, Marie Woodson brought her wealth of experience to public office, using her voice to support meaningful legislation and secured necessary funding for programs which benefit many.

WINCHESTER AID ALLIANCE
The Winchester Aid Alliance, Inc. is a human services nonprofit organization founded to make a positive impact in the lives of those who require charitable assistance.
The organization’s origins can most recently be traced back to 2023. Motivated to commemorate and keep the names alive of close family members that had recently passed away, Founder and Executive Director Bambo Adeshiyan began laying the early foundation of his organization by creating an annual essay scholarship, The 25 Suenu Memorial Scholarship Initiative, specifically for students in the Department of Communications at his alma mater, Alabama State University.
